Canberra pub favourite Qure Bar & Grill hits the market in Bruce

Many of life’s little comforts, like bangers and mash or fish and chips, are often enjoyed in the familiar welcome of a neighbourhood pub.

The Qure Bar & Grill on the ground floor of the Proximity Apartments in Bruce serves a sizeable customer base and welcomes those who flock to the suburb for its sporting attractions, a break from study or a pick-me-up after a hospital shift.

The venue leans into big flavours and generous portions with rib-sticking pub staples such as wood-fired pizzas, stacked burgers and chargrilled steaks.

But the owner is now calling time and is offering the building shell and all fit-out inclusions for sale.

The space includes 160 square metres of internal dining, lounge, bar, kitchen, cool room, restroom and office areas.

Future owners can choose to purchase the restaurant with or without the existing fitout.

There’s another 71 square metres of outdoor terrace space and substantial basement storage. The fitout includes high-quality furnishings and kitchen infrastructure, including a grease trap and exhaust canopy. There’s also three-phase power.

Guy Allen of Impact Properties says a new owner could maintain the current business approach or evolve it with a fresh vision.

“This unique location provides an opportunity for someone to develop it into one of Canberra’s top sports bars,” he says.
