Prime industrial blocks on offer in Queanbeyan's newest commercial gateway

There’s no doubt there’s a shortage of big sites in the ACT suitable for national and global logistics companies.

What’s equally evident is that there is a big demand for them, given Canberra’s location as a convenient staging post to service the NSW South Coast and the Riverina – a service radius that could meet the needs of up to 1.2 million people.

Our cross-border neighbours are cashing in on a first-mover advantage and drawing that business to the new Gateway Industrial Park in the Queanbeyan suburb of Environa, just a stone’s throw(-ish) from Hume.

Michael Ceacis of Select Property Group says the Environa park is emerging as one of the region’s most significant industrial developments.

“The demand since it came to market has been crazy,” he says. “Of the 13 blocks on offer, seven have either been sold, are under offer or are going through due diligence.”

The remaining blocks range from about 5000 square metres to 12,500 square metres.

Ceacis says the civil infrastructure within the park is nearing completion, with settlement on purchased sites expected in early 2026.

“It won’t be long before buyers begin to establish their presence and take advantage of these excellent regional transport links,” he says.
