Shop, travel, deduct: Iconic Peregian boutique with Paris-Porto pipeline for sale
A rare opportunity to snap up Otilly & Lewis has arrived.

Otilly & Lewis Peregian Beach store for sale after 20 years, includes Paris-Porto pipeline

A long-standing lifestyle and homewares shop curating European products (hello, tax-deductible travel) in a tightly held beach village on the Sunshine Coast has hit the market.

Just 12 kilometres south of bustling Noosa in laid-back Peregian Beach, the popular shop, Otilly & Lewis, is being offered for the first time in 20 years.

Turning over $1 million-plus annually from 3 & 4/8 Grebe Street, the Peregian Village stalwart is surrounded by busy restaurants, just 50 metres from the foreshore beach entrance.

On a mission to travel Europe – particularly Paris and Portugal – for the best homewares, fashion, and furniture to stock, the owners have curated a unique boutique business offering.

Spanning 112 square metres across two adjoining retail strata properties, it’s where iconic imported and local brands, including Mud Ceramics, perfumery Santa Maria Novella, candlemakers Trudon, and Italian soap and fragrance company Ortigia Sicilia, are showcased.

The Peregian Beach boutique retail space is a short walk from the beach.

The sale, being marketed by John Petralia of RWC Noosa & Sunshine Coast, includes both the freehold properties and the retail business for an undisclosed sum, and is generating “strong interest”.

“This is the kind of business that rarely comes along,” says Petralia. “For someone with an eye for design and a love of travel, this is a dream business.”

The shop benefits from consistent foot traffic from locals and holidaymakers looking for something special to take home. It has “significant growth potential” thanks to planned precinct upgrades and the much-anticipated, proposed reopening of the Peregian Beach Surf Club Restaurant & Bar.

“The restaurants are very popular, so they get a lot of people in there and the square fills up, and everyone’s sitting in the restaurants looking at the shop,” says Petralia.

He says the property would suit investors, either hands-on or off, looking for a strategic investment with growth potential in a tightly held location.

The shop is supported by a loyal, experienced team – including a dedicated store manager and two seasoned sales consultants – all committed to staying with the new owner.

Inside the boutique shop, a curation of homewares and lifestyle products from Europe are displayed.

The incoming owner may wish to enjoy a flexible, travel-enabled role.

“It’s built on decades of travel, sourcing, and personal relationships with long-standing international suppliers,” says Petralia.

“The structure has been intentionally designed to allow the owner freedom and lifestyle flexibility, including tax-deductible travel to destinations like Paris and Portugal.”

The properties, two adjoining 56 square metre shopfronts, have exclusive supplier agreements and licensed product manufacturing deals in place, ensuring maximum profitability.

The property is expected to bring in annual rental income of $56,000 plus outgoings and GST per unit.

Peregian Beach is known for its pristine surf beach, native bushland, and walking tracks through Noosa National Park.

A three-bedroom home in the laid-back suburb, where the average age is 40 to 59, will set you back $1.525 million, according to DomainInsight.

Peregian Village Square is centred on Kingfisher Drive, directly opposite the foreshore parkland and just steps from the beach. It is home to music sessions, artisan markets, boutique shops, health food cafes, and acclaimed restaurants such as two-hatted Bask.

The Peregian Beach Surf Club Restaurant & Bar remains closed as the search for new operators continues. The venue is expected to reopen as soon as a contract is finalised, a spokesperson says.
