Neil Perry's Burger Project coming to Parramatta

Chef Neil Perry’s Burger Project is to open in Parramatta when Crown Group’s latest mixed-use development is completed next year.

The store is scheduled open in early 2017 in the V by Crown Group complex in the Parramatta CBD, located on one of the city’s prime commercial sites – the corner of Macquarie and Marsden streets.

The restaurant is set to follow the formula of other Burger Projects, featuring a smart-casual feel with a large open kitchen, seating for 100 diners, a menu consisting of 10 burgers, fries, ice-cream desserts, shakes and sodas as well as a wine and beer list.

Perry described Parramatta as an emerging dining scene expected to embrace the philosophy behind Burger Project.

“Parramatta has such a diverse and emerging food and cultural scene and we cannot wait to add Burger Project to the mix,” he said.

Crown Group national development director Pierre Abrahamse said Perry’s decision to open his next Burger Project in Parramatta was a great coup for the city.

“We’re pleased to welcome Neil Perry’s Burger Project to our new V by Crown Group building in Parramatta,” Mr Abrahamse said.

“Neil has established an enviable reputation for his burgers and many people have been waiting for him to bring Burger Project to western Sydney.”

The 29-storey V by Crown Group will include 590 apartments and hotel suites, a swimming pool, gymnasium, library above a large retail and dining plaza and an archaeological display on ground level, with Crown Group expected to announce additional retailers for the luxury development later this year.

The tower will also be home to Parramatta’s highest bar, located on level 26, with views to Sydney’s CBD and Sydney Harbour Bridge.

Burger Project Parramatta will join Burger Project outlets already open in Sydney’s World Square, MLC Centre, Macquarie Centre and Melbourne’s St Collins Lane. Three more are scheduled to open in Sydney and Melbourne before the end of the year.
