Beachfront lobster facility in Lancelin could net more than $6 million
A live lobster facility in a popular coastal town in Western Australia could net more than $6 million, according to industry estimates.
The freehold parcel with direct beach and jetty access in the town of Lancelin, about 120 kilometres north of Perth, occupies more than 7700 square metres of land and more than 1500 square metres of floor area.
The property has two buildings, one of which includes five live-lobster depots, and a warehouse and office. The second building, built in about 2001, has a restaurant and accommodation.
The land is zoned for town centre use, which permits developments such as aged accommodation, bed and breakfast, restaurants, motels and single houses. It comes with vacant possession and there is also an unused block on the site.
CBRE selling agent Phil Melville, who is marketing the listing with Ryan McGinnity, said the beachfront location and popularity of Lancelin would attract buyers.

According to the listing, the property “will appeal to businesses seeking entry/expansion into the live lobster industry along with landbankers/developers.”
Presently three commercial tenants use the facilities for global lobster exports.
Mr McGinnity said Lancelin’s tourism industry was another drawcard.
