
AMP Capital strikes leasing deal in Perth
AMP Capital has struck a new lease with management and delivery practice Johnstaff over a newly fitted first-floor 217 square metre office at 2 Mill Street in the Perth CBD.
It is understood net market annual rents in the building averages about $525 a square metre.
CBRE’s Andrew Denny found the space for Johnstaff, which was upgrading from West Perth.
Lincraft returns to Townsville
Haberdashery retailer Lincraft has taken out a 1000 square metres in retail space at Queensland property group Geon Property’s Fairfield Homemaker Centre in Townsville, north Queensland after signing a new five-year lease with options.
The lease marks Lincraft’s return to Townsville, and it will open at the centre in the suburb of Idalia in October.
Lincraft joins Beacon Lighting, Godfreys, Petbarn, Greencross Vets and Nutrition Warehouse at the centre, which is being expanded with another 4280 square metres of space.
The lease was struck at a net market rent of about $200 a square metre. No agent was involved.
Staying put
MXA Consulting has renewed its 740 square metre office lease at Canberra House on Level 4, 40 Marcus Clarke Street, Canberra after signing a seven-year, four-month lease.
It chose to remain in the building due to the upcoming new retail precinct, No Name Lane nearby.
Colliers International’s Aaron Bruce and Michael Ceacis handled the deal for landlord Morris Property Group, understood to be struck around a gross annual rent of $415 to $435 a square metre.
Parramatta people
Recruiter people2people has found a new office after signing a five-year lease on level 3 of 100 George Street in Parramatta, western Sydney with landlord Diamond Genest Unit Trust.
The 200 square metre space was leased at a gross annual rent of $584 a square metre.
Tenant representative Tenant Representation Services and CBRE’s Stephen Panagiotopoulos acted on the deal.
Cranes too
Worldwide Project Logistics has secured a 6499 square metre warehouse at 10 Pike Street, Rydalmere in Sydney’s west on a 10.5-month lease.
Colliers International’s Phillip Bradac leased the property with high internal clearances and cranes.
Wedding bells
One of Melbourne’s best known bridal designers, Mariana Hardwick, is moving her showroom and studio to South Melbourne after signing a new 387 square metre retail lease on a Victorian building at 234 Coventry Street.
The six-year deal was signed on a net annual rent of $260 a square metre.
Knight Frank’s Paul Pellegrino brokered the deal.
Newly recycled
Recycling exchange business Container Exchange will open its first NSW office at a newly leased 266 square metre office on Level 13 at 20 Berry Street, North Sydney.
The gross annual rent is $700 a square metre and the lease term is five years.
The refurbished 15-storey building has new end-of-trip facilities.

Last two
Property investor Fifex has secured two office tenants at Carlow House at 289 Flinders Lane, Melbourne on gross annual rents of $660 to $730 a square metre.
Humanscale will move to suite 2 on level 8 while Cargo Advisor will use suite 3 on level 4, both for two years.
The art deco building has high exposed ceilings.
