On behalf of Thames Pastoral Pty Ltd, Colliers International and JLL is proud to offer for auction Tanumbirini and Forrest Hill Stations located near Daly Waters NT, south east of Darwin. The aggregation comprises approximately 5,593.7 square kilometres (559,370 hectares) of perpetual pastoral lease, suited primarily to large scale beef production. It has been partially developed in recent years through upgrades to stock water, pipelines, yards, fencing and homestead buildings. Further development opportunities exist to unlock full value. The property has consistently carried an average of around 37,500 plus followers over the last seven years. An additional 2,500 head of capacity was developed in 2019, currently equating to around 40,000 head of cattle carrying capacity with annual pasture monitoring reports supporting improving land condition over this time.
Tanumbirini is located by road 735km south east of Darwin via the Stuart and Carpentaria Highway east of Daly Waters. It comprises of 4 sets of cattle yards, 38 bores, 112 tanks, 20 turkeys nests (2 backup bores and 3 dams). Since 2012 14 new bores and 70 new tanks (40,000-gallon tanks) and piping have been developed on Tanumbirini. Approximately 21 new generators and 3 solar installations have also been installed with submersible pumps. There are over 216 artificial water points in total plus creek systems and permanent holes. The property is fenced into 34 main paddocks and fencing is primarily 4 barb steel post. Average yearly BOM measured rainfall is 733mm per annum average.
Forrest Hill is located 500km south of Darwin and 180km south of Katherine via the Stuart Highway and is 100km radial from Tanumbirini. It has wet season access into Roses yards near the Stuart Highway. Forrest Hill contains 2 sets of yards both accommodating for approximately 1,500 head. The property contains 13 equipped bores (5 solar equipped), 24 tanks and 5 dams. It is fenced into 7 main paddocks and three laneways mostly 4 barb and some 3 barb. Average yearly BOM measured rainfall at Larrimah (close to the north eastern boundary) is 860mm.
Both properties benefit from quality bitumen highway frontage allowing strategic and timely access to markets. Each also include respectable homestead complexes which cater well for management and their teams.
