Wedding venue and glamping estate in Tassie set to exchange vows with new owner
Sandridge Estate on Tasmania’s north west coast has been listed for sale after a decade of family ownership, offering investors an asset with both clout and lifestyle appeal.
Founded in 2015, Sandridge Estate was among the state’s first purpose-built wedding barn venues and an early entrant into Tasmania’s luxury glamping market. Over the past ten years, it’s hosted close to 200 weddings and welcomed thousands of guests, establishing itself as a significant contributor to the region’s tourism economy.
The property and business are being marketed by Harcourts Burnie and span 192.8 hectares of private forest and cleared land. There’s also uninterrupted 360-degree views across Bass Strait, Table Cape and toward Cradle Mountain.
Created by sisters Rebecca Brammall and Samantha Burr as a family venture, Sandridge Estate was designed to offer couples getting married as well as guests an immersive, nature-led experience. Its distinctive barn-style event shed, luxury glamping domes and tents, and the iconic Air Chapel are features of the property guests love.
“Sandridge has never just been a business for us,” Burr said. “It’s been a family adventure, and a privilege to host so many people at the most important moments of their lives.”
Around 50 per cent of couples who marry at Sandridge Estate travel from interstate, generating significant flow-on benefits for the north west coast through accommodation, hospitality and tourism services.
The sale includes wedding and event facilities catering for up to 185 guests, established infrastructure designed for sustainability and operational efficiency, and multiple income streams supported by a strong digital presence, including a dedicated website and more than 7000 social media followers.
In addition to its core wedding and accommodation revenue, the property benefits from an established secondary income stream, generating approximately $22,300 per annum from an on-site telecommunications tower.
The estate is located just minutes from Boat Harbour Beach and Sisters Beach National Park, approximately 15 kilometres from Burnie Airport, and within easy reach of major regional attractions such as Rocky Cape National Park, Table Cape and Fossil Bluff.
Previously approved plans also allow for the construction of an architecturally designed manager’s residence, presenting an opportunity for on-site living.
Despite the sale, operations will continue as normal, with a full calendar of weddings and events scheduled.
“It’s business as usual,” the co-owners confirmed. “We have some spectacular weddings lined up, which we’ll be delivering with the same care and attention Sandridge is known for.”
