Famous Queensland juice factory and orchard Sutton's Farm hits the market

A popular family-run orchard, juice factory, cidery and cafe in southern Queensland has hit the market after 30 years of business.

Fittingly located opposite the Big Apple, just 10 minutes north of Stanthorpe in the Granite Belt, Sutton’s Farm is a destination known for its variety of juices, award-winning ciders and famous apple pies, made on-site.

Visitors are also drawn to the picturesque orchard, filled with apples, peaches, apricots, and berry vines, and the cafe where they can relax and enjoy the scenery and produce.

Listing agent Jason Mattiazzi from Ray White Rural Queensland said the 4.63-hectare property at 10 Halloran Drive was a “rare opportunity” to purchase a thriving, long-running business with a strong farm-to-plate reputation.

A range of products are made and sold on-site.

The property also includes the family home of David and Roz Sutton, which has served as a “cosy residence” for the past 20 years and was extensively renovated in 2013.

“It features a renovated four-bedroom home, a modern cafe within the old packing shed and production kitchen, a small orchard, solid water supply, and all the key licences to keep this business flourishing,” Mattiazzi said.

“What makes Sutton’s special is their iconic handmade apple pie. They use apples grown on the farm or picked fresh from nearby orchards.

“Imagine up to 800 kilos of apples peeled and cooked each week, with fresh pies coming out of the oven daily.”

The 4.63-hectare property includes a cafe to enjoy the produce.

Mattiazzi said Sutton’s Farm would be ideal for anyone seeking a unique blend of rural and business opportunity.

“It’s perfect for family-run businesses, tourism enthusiasts, or anyone looking to build a profitable lifestyle venture with strong branding and room to grow in a region on the rise,” he said.

The Suttons are passing the baton and moving on – “At our age, it’s time to sell,” David Sutton explained – but are ready to hand over with comprehensive training and support.

Whether you’re looking to maintain the farm’s current operations or explore new opportunities, this property was perfectly positioned for growth, Mattiazzi said.
