Knight Frank to open office in south Sydney development zone

Knight Frank has announced a new office for South Sydney, bringing the global property consultancy’s Australian presence to 25 offices.

Opening on June 15, the office will be based in the former industrial heartland of Alexandria, four kilometres south of the Sydney CBD.

The move is the result of the brand’s desire to expand into the rapidly developing south Sydney market – with Richard Horne, Knight Frank’s managing director, NSW, describing the once industrial area as a key focus for the brand.

“This move is really exciting for Knight Frank as we expand into new markets and further strengthen the Knight Frank portfolio,” Mr Horne said.

“We’ve been viewing this precinct as a major opportunity for the last couple of years and the timing is now right for  us to open our new office there.

“The area has seen enormous transformation over the last 20 years, changing from a primarily industrial precinct into a mixed-use and residential apartment hot spot, located between the Sydney CBD and Sydney Airport.

“Now well serviced, with a direct train link to the city from Green Square and Mascot Station, the area has become one of Australia’s most exciting development precincts.”

The new office will be led by Knight Frank’s associate director, industrial sales and leasing, south, Peta Antoniou, alongside Adam Bodon, associate director, residential site sales, south Sydney sales and leasing on metropolitan site sales, and Nick Sinclair, associate director, south Sydney sales and leasing on city fringe and south Sydney commercial markets.

Other members of the initial team will include James Reeves, director, industrial; Hamish Henderson, associate director, city fringe; Demi Carigliano, sales executive, industrial and metropolitan sales; Sara Ford, office co-ordinator, and Jess Pankiw, executive analyst.

The team will initially focus on the provision of agency services initially.

Residential project marketing, asset management services and town planning will eventually be added to the office functions.
