Colliers acquires NixAnderson

Colliers International has acquired project management consultancy NixAnderson to boost its services.

The acquisition – for which terms were not disclosed – allows Colliers to offer a new range of services encompassing project management, advisory, development management and workplace strategy.

NixAnderson, founded in 1999, has completed or is currently working on $3 billion of property and infrastructure projects, including Sydney’s $600 million Northern Beaches Hospital, the DFO Homebush Shopping Centre, Australian Catholic University and Sydney’s Wet’n’Wild theme park.

“The acquisition brings together some of the industry’s leading project managers with a combined capability that can service the commercial, industrial, retail, residential, hospitality, health and education sectors,” Colliers ANZ chief executive John Kenny said.

Scott Anderson, managing director of NixAnderson, said the move gave his firm access to a wider network.

“We were attracted by Colliers International’s global platform and specialisation in growth areas like technology solutions and workplace strategy,” he said.

Corporate real estate firms are expanding their scope of activities. This week Knight Frank said it had started a new residential investments division in Australia, to focus on the growing build-to-rent sector.
