Queensland

1. Neumayer Valley Station, Gulf Country

Neumayer Valley, known for its premium genetics and consistent fertility, covers a whopping 143,000 hectares and supports a highly-regarded grey brahman herd of 16,000 cattle in Stokes, north-west Queensland’s Gulf Country.

The property, with easy access to both export and domestic markets, features abundant water from two rivers, diverse grazing lands, and well-developed infrastructure, including multiple cattle yards. Flood-free homesteads include a newly built residence.

2. Elrose Station, McKinlay

Elrose Station covers 30,756 hectares with a 5800-head carrying capacity, located just southeast of Cloncurry in north-west Queensland.

Prone to a 500-millimetre average rainfall, it offers premium grazing land for bos taurus herds, and was formerly home to a renowned brahman stud.

The station boasts excellent water security infrastructure, recent upgrades, and tick-free status ideal for breeding and backgrounding operations.

The property, which has only changed owners once in more than 100 years, includes dozens of paddocks, a six-bedroom homestead, and worker housing plus “exceptional” highway frontage.

Western Australia

3. Kalyeeda Station, Kimberley

Kalyeeda Station is a highly-regarded 122,519-hectare cattle breeding and finishing property in Western Australia’s Kimberley region.

Managed by the same family since 1995, it boasts reliable solar-powered water systems, diverse pasture floodplains, quality cattle bloodlines, and extensive operational infrastructure, including a 1200-metre airstrip.

The property includes a high-grade Droughtmaster herd with strong bos indicus genetics, plus 12 stock horses, and comes with an extensive range of plant and equipment as well as two residences.

4. Ella Valla and Yalbalgo Stations, Gascoyne

Together, these stations total 162,616 hectares with a combined carrying capacity of about 2000 cattle, and are available separately or together in the Gascoyne region of Western Australia.

Both feature solar-powered water infrastructure, upgraded fencing, cattle yards, and multiple homesteads, situated within the region’s spinifex and sandy soils.

Both stations have good road access and come with significant recent improvements, with Ella Valla comprising 76,167 hectares, and Yalbalgo covering 86,449 hectares.

Northern Territory

5. Hodgson River Station, Roper region

Hodgson River Station offers 111,000 hectares and a 6000-head brahman/brangus female breeding herd more than 230 kilometres south of Katherine in the high-rainfall Roper region of the Northern Territory.

The property includes extensive pasture development, solar-powered bores, multiple river and creek water points, including the Hodgson River and Arnold River, and quality infrastructure such as two cattle yards, a five-bedroom homestead, staff housing, and an airstrip.

The property also has striking natural attractions such as lost city rock formations, swimming holes, and waterfalls, and is within reach of Mataranka, Katherine, and Darwin.

6. Murranji & Neutral Junction Stations, Davenport

These adjoining stations, highly developed organic beef enterprises, together cover over 900,000 hectares and support more than 32,000 head of cattle across two key Northern Territory regions.

The breeding and fattening stations – on offer together or individually on a “walk-in, walk-out basis” – offer extensive water infrastructure, irrigation, paddocks, fencing, and operational facilities.

Murranji spans 447,700 hectares northwest of Elliot, while Neutral Junction sits on 460,900 hectares north of Alice Springs, both benefiting from highway access.

7. Emu Creek Station, Pilbara region

Emu Creek Station stretches 125,359 hectares along the Yannarie River in Western Australia’s Pilbara region, with an assessed carrying capacity of around 1590 cattle.

Though destocked for the past few years, it features a new 700-head cattle yard ready for installation, reliable water from 21 bores and the river, solar-powered infrastructure, and multiple homesteads.

Located near Coral Bay and Exmouth with highway access, the land is mostly red sandy soils with spinifex grasslands, plus some mulga shrublands along the river plains.
