After leaving school, Tom spent a few years in Perth plying his trade and ended up following his passion of Sport & Management, completing a Certificate IV in Sports Management at TAFE. In 2013 he accepted a job with the WA Football Commission as the Regional Development Manager for the Great Southern region based in Albany, which is just down the road from where he grew up on the family farm in Borden and a position he held for 6 years. It was a fantastic role which opened up a few doors, and included working with current Wellington & Reeves Directors Barry and Kathleen. This led him to the role he is currently in with the agency as the Office Manager, which he commenced in November 2020.

Tom continues to be heavily involved in Sports. He is currently the Football Manager at Royals Football Club, the Secretary of Cricket Great Southern and has recently joined the Great Southern Grammar School Council as the Independent Chair of the Great Southern Griffins Sports Committee.

His work and life revolve around the “3 C’s”. Consistency, Communication & Culture, all guided by the overarching trait of Common Sense. These are his values and he follows them closely.
