Steve Attkins previous role as Economic Development Manager for the Manning Valley has resulted in his passion for all things local. While Principal of LJ Hooker, he continues to be involved in regional issues. He has developed considerable expertise and knowledge of the real estate market and this is evident from informative blogs. Steve has been on the previous federal regional grants Board RDA for 3 ½ years – under the Howard Government. Steve served on the Advisory Panel for Hunter Central Rivers Grants Program for 3 years assessing and rating regional environmental projects.

Steve and his partner, Robyn, are owner/operators of Great Lakes Winery which is a destination tourism facility within the Great Lakes region- gateway to Manning Valley, generating some 10,000 visitors per year.
