With my grandfather settling in the Lockyer Valley in 1883, I suppose you would say I am a local. However the strange thing about that is I have very few relatives still living in the valley. I was raised on a mixed farm in the 60.s and before school every morning my job was to bring the cows into the dairy with my Dad on the ponies. Growing up on the farm with my brothers and sister taught me to be very independent. I went to university and have a Bachelor of Business degree. My Dad started the partnership of Gatton Real Estate in 1984 and I took over the reins in 1997. Our Business has grown with the help of other family along the way to what it is today. I love the fact that we are a family business and that we care for the real estate needs of families that we encounter in our daily business lives. When I am not working I love to spend time in the garden or just read a good book. I also am very competitive and love to play 500 or bridge. I have 6 Grandchildren that I adore (but regrettably live in North Queensland). I play competition table tennis and enjoy Yoga classes. I have been on the Committee of Lockyer Better Business for many years and enjoy keeping abreast of the business and community interaction. It is great that I now have my daughter Allison as a partner working with me in the business.
