Michelle Hirchfield joined the Elders Real Estate team in 2018 and is proudly servicing the real estate industry on Flinders Island.
Michelle, her partner Jim and son Clay have lived on the island since 2010, having made the move from country Victoria to buy a farm and become proud grass fed beef producers for both the Tasmanian and mainland markets. Michelle is a keen member and supporter of Tasmanian Women in Agriculture as well as the founder, creator and administrator of the Flinders Island Community Noticeboard on social media. Michelle is also the community representative on council’s shipping committee.
Michelle’s background is largely a corporate one where she has held executive level sales positions with other corporate organizations and was in charge of managing large portfolio’s of corporate clients across rural and regional areas. Michelle and Jim have also owned and operated their own successful businesses. Michelle prides herself on honesty, integrity, customer service focus and professionalism. Michelle loves the interpersonal relationships she has built with her clients, is conscientious, outcome driven and offers a motivated, enthusiastic, “can do” attitude and approach to the real estate service offering.
She absolutely loves the Flinders Island lifestyle, the mild maritime climate, quiet roads with minimal traffic, no traffic lights, no parking meters, the scenic mountain ranges and pristine beaches along with the diversity of people who live there. In Michelle’s words, “It’s such a wonderful place to raise children and to live. The community is so extremely safe, so very friendly, everyone here looks out for one and other and the island offers such a laid back, carefree, relaxed idyllic lifestyle. Flinders Island is quite literally a hidden treasure waiting to be fully discovered and there literally is, no-where else in the country I would rather call my home.”
