Michael Shay is the only agent who has been marketing & selling Residential, Commercial & Industrial properties in the Ballina Shire for the past 51 years. Michael started his real estate life with L.J. Hooker Lismore in February 1972 then transferred to the Ballina office in 1973. Over the years Michael has sold countless properties ranging from home sites to caravan parks, homes to home units, ocean front properties to large investment properties.

Michael is the only Platinum life member of the L.J. Hooker Multi-Million Dollar Chapter of the Captains Club on the North Coast of N.S.W. Michael is a member of the L.J. Hooker 21 Club which is bestowed on L.J. Hooker personal who have achieved 21 continuous years service to Real Estate with L.J. Hooker. In fact he has achieved 51 years service.

Michael is only the eighth person to be inducted into the 'LJ Hooker Hall of Fame' since the brand first opened in 1928.

In the local community Michael has been a past member of the Ballina – Lismore Surf Life Saving Club, Ballina Apex and was the youngest ever president of St. Vincent De Paul Society which he served for 25 years. Michael is Chairman of the Diocesan Investment Fund with over $500 million under management, Chairman of the Diocesan Finance Council, and a member of St. Francis Xavier Parish Finance Council.

Apart from the thousands of properties Michael has sold, he has successfully marketed 38 land subdivisions.
