About Matthew: Matthew Knight has an extensive property background in the private sector. Since completing a Bachelor of Business in Property in 1995, Matthew moved to Darwin where he has worked in Commercial and Industrial Real Estate for the past 21 years.

After working with Knight Frank for 2 years the owner/Managing Director of the business took up an offer from Knight Frank Australia to move to New Zealand and Matthew was offered and accepted the position of Managing Director of Knight Frank Darwin. Matthew has been in this role since 2007.

Matthew also has had previous experience in establishing the McGees agency in Darwin setting up the asset management and sales and leasing part of the business.

Matthews’ extensive Agency experience has involved positions held in Sales, Leasing, Consultancy, Asset Management and some Valuation. His Real Estate experience includes:

~ Management of the Knight Frank Darwin office and staff.

~ Sales of residential and commercial land sales, commercial and retail properties, catalogue auctions, industrial properties, strata titled units, residential subdivisions, project marketing and investment properties, hospitality and leisure properties.

~ Leasing of commercial, retail, and industrial properties.

~ Asset management; lessor and lessee relations, building budgeting and forecasting, lease re-negotiations, contract management and reform.

~ Building design and construct projects for National companies including: Bunnings, Dulux, Liquorland, Lawrence and Hansen, A. Noble and Sons and TJM 4x4 products.

~ Real estate consultancy and advice for clients on building and property acquisitions, including feasibility and investment analysis.

~ Extensive consultancy work for major retail users including tenancy mix and layout.
