Originally hailing from the Blue Mountains, Jodie relocated to Dubbo in 1998 after marrying Dubbo local, Adam Brightman. With a teenage son, Jackson, family holds utmost importance for Jodie, and she firmly maintains a well-balanced approach between work and personal life.
