Daniel was awarded a scholarship to The Friends School and went on to obtain a combined degree in Commerce and Law at the University of Tasmania. For eight years Daniel was employed as an inquiry agent for a private investigation firm, where he progressed quickly to Associate level in a management capacity.

It is in real estate, however, where Daniel has truly excelled. His strategic approach to the selling process is incredibly effective and he has amassed an enviable sales record. He is a 5 time winner of the company’s Top Property Consultant award (without sales support) and has consistently won the Quarterly Top Gun award since the beginning of his real estate career. In recognition of his achievements in the field and strong leadership, he was appointed Sales Manager in 2009 and has been a Director since 2011.

That said, Daniel is more proud of the feedback he receives from clients than the awards he has won or promotions within the company. The stack of positive testimonials from clients so impressed with the level of professionalism and the result achieved, perhaps speaks the loudest about the extent of Daniel’s ability. He is among a handful of the top performing real estate agents in Tasmania and is very highly valued within the Petrusma group.

Daniel’s father Ed ten Broeke has been in real estate for almost 40 years, most of which has been in business with Hank Petrusma. Daniel was groomed for the role by the leaders of the industry and experienced success very early in his career. Now as a Director Daniel continues to achieve outstanding results for his clients.

Daniel has highly developed communication and organisational skills. He is extremely motivated and believes strongly in the importance of plain hard work and dedication, as well as openness in the real estate transaction. Coupled with his bright and positive attitude, Daniel has a skill set that is incredibly well suited to the real estate environment. His clients receive superior service and Daniel knows how to achieve results.

Daniel married his teenage sweetheart Bianca, and the two were in fact born on the same day at Calvery Hospital in 1977! They now have three daughters Ella, Ebony and Mayah, and a son Charlie. Daniel and family live on a couple of acres outside the city, with four Alpacas, a dozen chooks and mischievous Labrador “Max”.

Daniel is a natural achiever and has excelled in sport and music as well as academically and professionally. He represented Tasmania in underage soccer and went on to play in the State Premier League. He enjoys all forms of water sport and during summer can be found water skiing with friends on Meadowbank Lake or jet skiing the Southern Beaches. He is a keen snowboarder and a talented drummer, for a number of years a member of popular Hobart band Morning Glory.

Daniel is now a Director and Auctioneer, selling across greater Hobart with the invaluable assistance of co-agent David McLeod, his Personal Assistant Renee Kapitzke and the entire Petrusma Property sales force.
