Dan began his real estate career on the Mornington Peninsula in the early 1990s before relocating to South Gippsland in 2010. After working in Leongatha for around two years, he made the move to the Bass Coast and joined Alex Scott & Staff Wonthaggi in 2015. Following many successful years as a Licensed Estate Agent and Branch Manager, Dan returned to the Leongatha office in 2024, where he now specialises in lifestyle properties and rural farms.
With deep family ties to the Bass Coast, Dan's extended family has called Wonthaggi home since the 1930s. His late uncle, Sam Huther, was a well-known local mechanic and Ford dealer, while his cousins continue the family legacy through South Gippsland Motors.
Dan enjoys the relaxed lifestyle that South Gippsland offers and is passionate about helping people achieve their property goals, whether they're buying, selling or making the move to the region. His extensive industry experience, combined with his local knowledge, allows him to guide clients with confidence and genuine care.
Outside of real estate, Dan lives in Harmers Haven with his partner, Penny, who is the Manager of the Bendigo Community Bank in Inverloch. He is a proud father of three children—his eldest son, Sam, works in property in Ballarat, his daughter, Megg, is a school teacher on the Mornington Peninsula, and his youngest son, Grayson, attends Newhaven College.
When he's not working, Dan enjoys restoring classic cars, attending car shows, spending time with his family and making the most of the beach lifestyle.
