Chris became Managing Director of Colliers International (NT) in 1996.

He established Colliers Project Marketing in Darwin and has been responsible for landmark waterfront developments including Bridgeport, L'Esperance, Sentinel, Myilly Apartments, Nautilus at Cullen Bay and the Old Admiralty Tower Apartments on Darwin's Esplanade.

Chris established C J Hyland Co in Adelaide before moving to Darwin in 1996 and has been actively involved in the Real Estate Industry for well over 30 years.

During the past 25 years in Darwin he has acted on behalf of major banking institutions, the Commonwealth Government, the Brunei Development Company, the Smorgon Family and a host of National/Multi-National companies. In this time there have been 13 major development projects established on Darwin's Esplanade, and 11 of these (value in excess of $150 million) were transacted by Chris.

His experience with development projects is extensive and he has provided advice and solutions to major Developers throughout Australia.

In 1999, Chris was a delegate of the Northern Territory Government study tour of the V & A Waterfront development in Cape Town South Africa, for the purpose of advising the Government on the future development potential for Darwin's Waterfront.

In more recent times he has provided advice and carried out development feasibility studies on behalf of overseas investors focusing on hotels and mixed used projects.

As the principal Auctioneer for Colliers Darwin Chris has conducted in excess of 4000 auctions across the entire property spectrum including commercial, residential, hotels, rural and tourism.
