He is also the principal of his family’s real estate agency, serves as a director for the Professionals Real Estate Group, is the chairman of the Gold Coast zone of the Real Estate Institute of Queensland (REIQ), has written two books on the property industry and is an award-winning agent. A second generation real estate agent who grew up in Mermaid Beach, Andrew Henderson was first named among Queensland’s top 10 Queensland sales agents in the Professionals Real Estate group in 2005. In 2006 and 2007 Andrew won the prestigious Professionals Queensland's Sales Executive of the Year Award and then he teamed up with his brother Luke Henderson to win the national award for the best sales team in Australia in 2008 and 2009. In terms of sales performance, the agency that Andrew leads sells close to 40 per cent of all the properties sold in Mermaid Beach. The office is a top performing office in the Professionals Group nationally. The business also named as the best in the state in its category at the annual Real Estate Institute of Queensland honours in 2013 and a was a State finalist in the 2017 awards.
