Alan brings over 35 years of experience across Australia and Asia’s financial services sectors, having held senior executive, chief executive, and directorship roles within various major organisations.

Following a distinguished corporate career, Alan founded his consulting practice, focusing on private equity acquisitions and corporate transactions throughout Asia. His work in strategic advisory and cross-border ventures has given him deep insight into business value creation, succession, and growth.

Alan is passionate about helping small and medium enterprises plan and execute successful transitions. Having spent much of his career serving business owners, he believes that SMEs deserve access to professional, structured advice equal to that of large corporations.

As Chairman and Founding Partner at Wood Associates, Alan leads the firm’s Management Board and broker development initiatives, guiding the next generation of brokers and shaping the group’s strategic growth. Based on the Bellarine Peninsula, Alan works closely with business owners across Geelong and South-West Victoria, combining local understanding with global experience.
