    'Kywong' has had a comparatively reasonable season and as it was de-stocked due to the drought it has recovered very well. The body of grass is strong especially along the creeks and channels with the Mitchell and Buffel showing a lot of seed. The property will appeal to someone seeking some grass in the immediate future.
    Location: Premium Downs and Channel country approx. 65km east of Winton, via the Aldingham turnoff and 180km North of Longreach.
    Area and tenure: Freehold title 11,389.8Ha (28,034 acres) approx.
    Facilities in Winton: Railway Trucking yards and Live-weight scales. Twice weekly mail. Primary and Secondary school. Hotels, Clubs, Bakery, Stores, Motels, Mains Power, Sat TV, Broadband Two way Internet and DRS phone.
    Rainfall: 400ml or just over 16 inch average.
    Country: Approx. 40% is a mixture of creek/channel/downs country with the balance undulating downs country. The creeks and channels are timbered with Coolibah and Vine trees and is very well grassed with Buffel, Mitchell, Pigweed and Summer Herbages in season. The open downs country is mainly timbered with Whitewood and Vine trees grassed with Mitchell some Flinders, some Buffel and Summer Herbages in season.
    Water: There are approx. 10 open Dams many of which have in recent years been cleaned out and water is piped from the shared government bore just off the Southern end of the property to approx. 10 poly holding tanks and 14 concrete troughs. This results in a system that has piped water and a dam in every paddock except one. Poly pipe is mainly 63mm U/G.
    The property is on the Jessamine and Violet Creeks system which also supplies seasonal water holes.
    Fencing: Fenced into 6 main paddocks with 4 smaller paddocks in close.
    Yards: Central set of mainly steel rail and panel yards in very good condition and which has had a lot of improvement work done in recent years with over-head draft, separate branding race and covered Centurion crush and head bail with scales.     Present Owners have run only Dry Cattle and estimate that 1,400 Dry Cattle would be a very safe number in most years and if Weaners are to be run then this number could be increased.
