    The Cooradigbee homestead is undoubtedly a significant landmark on the banks of the Goodradigbee River in the Wee Jasper valley.

    The homestead is being offered on approx 100 acres overlooking the Goodradigbee River and the backwaters of Burrinjuck Dam.

    Located approximately 5kms from the Wee Jasper village, 58km (1hr) from Yass, 90km (1.5hr) from Canberra, 290km (3hr 20min) from Wollongong and 335km (3.75hr) from Sydney.

    The Homestead was carefully renovated and completed in 2000 under the guidance of architect Chris Gillette, to maintain its authenticity and to create open living spaces for today's lifestyle.

    The homestead has been a venue for farm stay accommodation, celebrations, and meetings and as the Ducks n Fishes café. It does hold a current On-Premises Liquor Licence and is compliant with the Yass Valley Shire regulations to continue to operate as a café with accommodation.
    (Whilst these licenses are still in place the homestead is being offered a family home and not as a business.)

    This welcoming county homestead features an expansive patio and verandah' s on all sides and enjoys water views of the river amongst the 100 year old established trees.

    The homestead was built circa 1910 of rammed earth and a cement render and the sympathetic extension completed in 2000.

    Five spacious bedrooms, 4 with ensuites. The two larger southern end bedrooms were designed so they could be merged as one with bulkheads and bay windows and a his and hers bathroom

    The original section of the homestead (seven rooms) is cement render over rammed earth walls with baltic pine tongue and groove ceilings. The internal walls are 18" thick. Polished timber floors throughout. Cedar sash windows throughout with most rooms having an external door onto the verandah.

    Effective hydronic gas heating system with heating banks in all rooms. There are five open fireplaces in three of the main rooms. The heating system is located in the laundry.

    Separate games room with full size billiard table and fireplace (restored dairy boy's quarters)

    Homestead water is supplied from a 120 000ltr rain water cement tank which is connected to a 20,000lt concrete header tank via a solar pump, that is then gravity fed to the house. The livestock and outside garden water is via an in ground 50mm poly pipe system connecting the house and grounds to the Goodradigbee River. All tanks are new and in excellent condition

    A small post and rail and mesh cattle yard comprise a receival yard plus three yards including a forcing pen, loading ramp and race. A three bay farm shed opens into the yards and includes the original tack room.

    1,000lt LPG tank onsite supplies the kitchen, 3 hot water services and the central heating. The gas is delivered to the property every 6-8 weeks.

    Outside cool room and small to medium iron shedding.

    The frontage to the river and Burrinjuck back waters provides access to launch your boat, fish and water ski from the Cooradigbee property. (Subject to water levels)

    Internet and mobile coverage available provides an enjoyable place to work from home.

    Large Elms feature upon the property entry and 100 year old Spruce trees around the house. Other trees include walnuts, quince, honeysuckle and the classic palm tree. More recent plantings include Oaks and English Plain trees with a small orchard of pear, peach, plum, apricot, nectarine, apple, persimmon, and pomegranate. A large prominent orange tree planted by Miss Ashton the family governess from the previous owners, provides delicious oranges.
