The soil types comprise of a heavy black self-mulching soil type rising steadily to chocolate brown and red basalt soil profiles suitable for pasture production, annual cropping/grain production and grazing pursuits.

    The arable areas are mostly cleared with the exception of some scattered shade timber. The main timber species comprises of a variety of box.
