Located in the valuable Kyneton-Malmsbury District, approx. 2 km from Malmsbury-Daylesford Road, 3km from Malmsbury station and 1 hour to Melbourne by road.
Established in 1972, Zig Zag Rd Vineyard is one of the earliest vineyards in the Macedon Ranges Region. The un-irrigated vines are grown in red, volcanic, clay soil and coupled with cold climate, produce grapes with intense, distinct flavours.
VINEYARD
The original vineyard was planted in 1972 with Shiraz, Cabernet, Pinot Noir, Merlot with Riesling planted in the mid 90s. Further plantings of Riesling, Merlot and Pinot Noir have increased the vineyard to approx. 10acres.
Producing between 1-1.5 tonnes/acre (approx. 800 cases).
HOMESTEAD
Mud brick, two level home of approx. 20 years old. Four bedrooms, with main bedroom including parents retreat and small ensuite. Study, split level dining room/ lounge/ kitchen and main bathroom.
INCLUSIONS
Included in the sale price; nets, tractor and all equipment necessary to maintain the vineyard and pick the grapes. Winery and cellar door equipment and stock also available for sale.
