Location
Centrally located approximately 40km west of Armidale, 32km north-west of Uralla and 42km south-east of Bundarra.
Area 1,483 ha (3,665 acres).
Country/Soils
Mostly fine granite, running into some trap and basalt. There are about 120 ha that have been farmed, including alluvial flats. The country rises from the flats to higher tops.
Pastures
Mostly natives with virtually no fertiliser history.
Rainfall District average of around 750 - 800 mm.
Water
Haylock and Caches Creeks, four dams and numerous gullies with springs.
Homestead
Five bedroom solid brick home about 100 years old. Two halls, large bullnose verandah on three sides. Legend has it the homestead is built on 100 wagon-loads of granite foundation.
