"Akania", is a 50.53ha property on the northern escarpment of the Comboyne Plateau. It is about 8kms to Comboyne village, coffee shops and a friendly community. It is easily accessible to Port Macquarie, Taree and Newcastle. "Akania" is mostly covered by moist sclerophyll forest and pockets of rich rain forest supporting a diverse flora and fauna population. At last count it was home to about 120 bird, 24 mammal, 25 reptile and 13 frog species. About 95%(48.12ha) of "Akania" has been placed under a Voluntary Conservation Agreement and registered with the Land for Wildlife program. The residual 2.41ha is mostly orchard, a mix of citrus, stone fruit and exotics, gardens, vegetable and flowers, and recreational lawns.
