About the Ballandean District.
Ballandean Tavern is in the heart of the Granite Belt wine country with more than 50 wineries and cellar doors (20 wineries within a 10 minute drive of the Tavern). In the district we have over 50 restaurants. There are 4 national parks: The main one being Girraween National Park (15minutes), Sundown National park (45 minutes), Bald Rock National park (one hour) and Boonoo Boonoo National Park (one hour) and 3 golf courses within a 20 minute drive.
The Tavern is very busy all year round. There is a very busy tourist season which runs from Easter until November each year. Friday and Saturday nights are always full of tourists and travellers and locals.
Being a very big small crop area (tomatoes, capsicum, lettuce, zucchini, grapes, garlic, stone fruit, and the list goes on) there are a lot of backpackers the frequent the tavern every afternoon after work.
