Nutrien Harcourts is pleased to confirm Kurrajong in the Milbrulong-Yerong Creek district, sold by Auction today 9 September.
Kurrajong is located in the Milbrulong district, 20 kilometres west of Yerong Creek, 30 kilometres east of Lockhart and 60 kilometres south-west of Wagga Wagga in the Eastern Riverina.
Comprising 274 hectares or (677 acres) the land is gently undulating country with red/brown loam soils and clays along the seasonal watercourses that have in the majority been planted with trees and fenced out. There are 7 main paddocks which are all watered by dams; the seasonal local creeks hold water in wet years.
Kurrajong is set up as a grazing enterprise and has been conservatively running 500 crossbred ewes and lambs on established perennial pastures of lucerne, clovers, chickory and phalaris. Current stock numbers are 513 ewes with 759 lambs. The parcel lends itself to both grazing and cropping, the vendors have grown cereals and oilseeds prior to establishing existing pastures.
If you are starting out or looking for additional land the farming infrastructure will set you up to start with a set of steel sheep yards with cemented draft and working race, 2 stand equipped woolshed with power connected, a four-bay hayshed, a rainwater tank and a small storage shed.
Access for spray fallow preparation for the 2022 season will be available to the purchaser in nominated paddocks once contracts are exchanged and a deposit paid, giving you a head start for next year.
