Jarrega is located at Eganu within the shire of Coorow. The coastal township of Green Head is located approximately 85* lineal kilometres to the west. Geraldton is approximately 185* radial kilometres north east with a port for the export of grain plus live export for cattle and sheep.

Perth is approximately 210* radial kilometres and 255 kilometres* by road to the south east.

Jarrega has a mean rainfall of 380mm.

81% of the property is croppable with 14% with an old tagasaste plantation.

Stock water is provided by bore water, tanks and troughs.

WATER DEVELOPMENT POTENTIAL
Jerraga is in the Morrison subarea of the Arrowsmith groundwater area.

Water is available for licensing from the Yarragadee and Parmelia aquifers. The water quality of this aquifer in other areas where it occurs is usually brackish and it can supply more than 500 kL/day (kilolitres per day). It may be possible to have a licence from this aquifer, but an applicant would have to conduct their own investigations.

Currently there is 1,000,000 kilolitres available for licensing from the Yarragadee and 3,940,000 kilolitres from the Parmelia, these figures can change at any time. The figure available for licensing does not indicate how much water could be pumped from the property, or what would be licensed.

The Yarragadee is capable of providing large supplies of up to 1000 kL/day, it's quality can range from fresh to brackish, and there is no data about its quality in this location. The Parmelia is capable of moderate supplies; up to 500 kL/day, and it is usually fresh to marginal.
