The Mary Mackillop Centre and Museum is being renovated and expanded to include a modern café. The café has been built on the Phillips Street frontage of the Centre which is directly opposite the Mary Mackillop College and easily accessed from both The Parade and Portrush Road. Local council has approved an outdoor seating area for 24 which is subject to annual licence fees from the tenant to council, and inside seating for 20 has also been approved. The café is to support catering events and visitors to the Centre and also service the local community.
