 Agency principal PhilHayes has over 30 years of Australasian real estate experience in theMelbourne, Auckland, Christchurch and now Perth marketplaces. His experiencespans both the Commercial and Residential sectors, as well as Management.

With a background originally in residential sales in theMelbourne and Auckland marketplaces, Phil’s introduction to the Commercialsector began with his appointment as Chief Auctioneer for Bayleys in 2006 wherehe conducted the nationwide Total Property commercial portfolio auctions.

A Sales Management role in Christchurch led to an eventual relocation to Perthwhich saw Phil appointed as an Associate Director and partner at Caporn Young.

Responsible for the growth in the auction business Phil oversaw growth inauction numbers from 37 in 2013 to 189 in 2017. Under Phil’s stewardship CapornYoung’s Fremantle office was awarded no 1 Auction Office for WA in 2018 and thebusiness overall conducted more auctions than any other company in WA. Recognised by his Auctioneering peers Phil has represented WA in theAustralasian Auctioneering Championships, is a dual winner of the Harcourts NZAuction Competition and has twice been named Australian Auctioneer of the Yearby the RER Network.

In 2017 Phil founded Caporn Young Commercial and was responsible for the saleof many iconic West Australian properties and businesses including Exmouth’sLighthouse Caravan Park, Subiaco’s Witch’s Cauldron Restaurant and Sal Salis onthe Ningaloo Reef.

After an unknown complication at birth, Bodhi Jones Niblett, sustained a severebrain injury cause by a lack of oxygen. This type of injury in known as HypoxicIschemic Encephalopathy (HIE) which has led to significant limitations inBodhi’s abilities. Bodhi has quadriplegia cerebral palsy, a hearing and visionimpairment, epilepsy and is fed via a port in his stomach due to an unsafeswallow.
