The front entrance to the site is at the northern end of Williams Esplanade, directly opposite the Palm Cove jetty. This jetty services tourists and visitors to nearby Double Island and further afield to Port Douglas, Cooktown and the outer Barrier Reef. An additional entrance is via the scenic Coral Coast Drive.

With three DA's in place, this site represents one of the last remaining absolute beachfront headland development lands along the east coast of Tropical North Queensland. The site is an undeveloped coastal headland situated at the northern end of Palm Cove, enjoying an elevated position with spectacular views out to the Coral Sea and south. It sits to the east of the Hotel Grand Chancellor and Golf Course and Ocean's Edge residential development. The land is currently vacant, and is partially vegetated with several eucalyptus species. It has a watercourse system draining seaward which forms into a charming shallow creek close to the main entrance on Williams Esplanade.
