The Perth Railway Station is an iconic "Victorian" style building approximately 120 years old. Perth Station accommodates more than 40,000 commuters boarding trains each day (as at March 2013).
The Station is accessible from Wellington Street, Perth on the southern side, Roe Street, Northbridge on the northern side and Murray Street via the underpass to the Perth Underground Station. This Station forms an integral part of the Perth City Link project, connecting Perth and Northbridge for the first time in 100 years. As part of this project, the Station is undergoing a multi-million dollar renovation which includes repainting the external surfaces.
This project has also improved the connection between Perth Station and the Perth Underground Station by way of a newly constructed pedestrian underpass. This area is undergoing major rejuvenation and activation with the assistance of the City of Perth and the Metropolitan Redevelopment Authority developing adjoining areas to the Station precinct.
