Recent Rain - Grass Growing!
In Average seasons approximately 8000 sheep or 900 cows and progeny or mixed operation as current owners are doing.
A CAPPED FLOWING BORE, put down in 2002, potential pumping 220,000 gallons a day, (current owners say that daily usage in peak times is only a fraction of this), then pumped to Homestead and paddocks through 63mm, 2" and 1 1/2 inch polypipe to service 38 Troughs. Tanks are installed at strategic locations to ensure adequate water supply to troughs in times of high demand. Bore water also supplied to house, sheds & shearing shed quarters. The current head pressure of the bore is approx 32 psi.
TWO DAMS - one solar pump equipped and the other ( House Dam) is equipped with an electric pump. However, with the bore water trough and tank system in place, Muyong is not longer reliant on these dams for water. Dams and all other waterholes have recently been de-silted.
