The bay is safe for swimming and boating and generally fishing (from either a boat or the jetty) is good all year round.
The Venus Bay Licensed General Store is a long-standing successful business located in the centre of beautiful, peaceful Venus Bay. The Store caters for everyone's needs and is currently trading seven days a week. Exceptionally well stocked: includes the sale of groceries, meat, local prawns, bread, fruit and vegetables; gifts; take-away food ranging from fish & chips to a variety of hamburgers, baguettes and bruschettas; Espresso coffee, milkshakes, icecreams, Licensed Cafe', fishing tackle, fuel; LPG gas bottles and refills. The licensed alfresco dining area has excellent views of the bay and jetty. The Cafe' is essentially a day time Cafe' however does open some evenings for special events.
