Healthy Habits is a fast food business with a difference. We aim to provide our customers with healthier “feel good” eating options, which still taste great and pack a punch of flavour.

We serve up a full range of fresh and flavoursome sandwiches, salads, juices, fruit salads, yoghurts and other yummy stuff daily.

We never lose sight of the fact that some 70% of Australians are overweight and it is this which drives us in our goal to bring better, healthier, tastier, more affordable eating options to Australia.

The Healthy Habits brand was established in 1992 and since this time, has grown to a network of over 20 stores, operating in some of Australia’s leading centres, airports and food court precincts.

A leader in the fast food market; we utilise our size to negotiate major supplier contracts to benefit you, as an operator.

With a simple operating system, franchisees are offered a full turnkey solution, with support across all aspects of the business such as site assessments, lease negotiations, shop-fit, staff training, product development, marketing and area management support.

Proudly 100% Australian owned, operated and branded, we welcome your enquiry.

      How it works

The process for becoming a Healthy Habits franchisee is as follows:
The applicant (you!) submits their initial enquiry / expression of interest.

Our Franchise Recruitment Manager (FRM) sends you a Confidentiality Agreement. Upon signing, we send you a full Business Pack outlining the benefits of the brand.

Once you’ve acknowledged your interest to proceed, a face-to-face meeting is set with our FRM. As part of this, you’ll be required to complete a Business Plan (we will provide a template).

A Business Strategy Meeting will be conducted.

An Approval letter is issued. You’ll also be provided with generic Franchise Grant Documents and an invoice for the full Franchise Fee ($60,000 + GST).

In order to progress, a payment of 25% of the Franchise Fee is required.

Following a cooling-off period, all Franchise Documents are to be signed and submitted.

You must then pay the balance of the Franchise Fee.

Lease terms are negotiated and executed.

      Store fit-out drawings are completed.

A final store fit-out estimate is provided and a contract supplied by the shopfitter.

You will need to sign and submit the store fitout contract.

Store handover takes place with the store shopfitter, following sign-off of all build elements.

Training is completed and signed off by your dedicated Area Manager.

Your Healthy Habits store officially opens – congratulations!

      Why us?

As part of one of Australia’s largest multi-brand Franchise Systems, there are huge benefits to being part of the Healthy Habits brand:
We are here for the long run.
Bigger is not always better, but in this sector, size does matter. We are here for the long term, so if the going gets tough, we have the capacity to work through the issues. We are not a “fly-by-night” with a few store operations; being part of a larger system, we understand the sector well.

Our size gives us buying power.
The cost of your raw materials has an important impact on the profitability of your store. We negotiate with all suppliers to minimise this cost.

      Established brand name.
Operating since 1992, Healthy Habits has become a well-known and respected retail food brand, operating in some of Australia’s leading centres and food court precincts. By coming on board, you take advantage of all the benefits a trusted brand name can bring.

Healthy Habits great range of products.
Offering three major product ranges - sandwiches, salads and juices - our brand is certainly unique! Not only do we provide tasty, feel good food, we also have an offer for any occasion, whether it a be a sit down meal, take away snack, or on-the-go refreshment; meaning there’s a sales opportunity for each and every customer who comes in contact with your store at each and every ‘day-part.’

When you join Healthy Habits, you will be assigned an Area Manager (AM).
Each AM is in turn supported by our Head Office team. Your AM acts as a business coach, problem-solver and ideas person. They will assist you with local marketing strategies to help boost turnover, identify management issues like portion control and team scheduling and hold regular training events to ensure you and your team are equipped with the skills to achieve your goals.

Business Support is our biggest division.
This makes sense because that’s why we’re in business – to support our Franchisees!

      We are a “Turnkey” Operation.
We want to make it easy for you to start your business. As such, we provide you with full step-by-step support along your journey; including site selection, lease negotiation, store design and shop fit-out. We’ll also train you, help you recruit staff and assist with a marketing program for Opening Day.

We want to make it easy for you to run your business!
Healthy Habits is also proudly 100% Australian owned, operated and branded.
