Small Format Marks Big Change for Oporto
Oporto has launched a new small format store known as ‘Pequeno’ (Portuguese for small). This new small format paves the way for restaurants to open in high density, urban and inner city locations where real estate is limited. Pequeno sites are small (60-120sqm) so they cost around 20-30% less than average shop front sites and yet there is no compromise on design and functionality. The ingenious floor plan integrates a fully functioning open kitchen with grill, oven and fryers along with refrigeration, counter space and seating for 10-20 people.
