Wallangarra is a border town straddling Queensland and New South Wales, situated in the Southern Downs Region, Queensland. It is the third most southerly town in Queensland, 258 kilometres south west of Brisbane. Wallangarra has a population of 385 approximately and is on the Queensland side of the border and Jennings is on the New South Wales side.

Wallangarra has a railway station which is split into two. Half of the railway station is owned by Queensland and the southern end is owned by New South Wales. Its a good example of how governments in the past went their own ways, youll notice theres even two different railway line gauges! Wallangarra has 2 schools, 1 police station and 1 hotel.
