The list of equipment and what can be done at the Palace of Magnificent Experiences (POME) is incredible. Not only can a full range of musicians and bands play there but also do multi track recording and see it also saved visually on one of the multiple camera feeds. The venue is really a destination function space that is also used as a gallery, cinema and a multitude of other capabilities that can only be fully described with a visit.
The entrance off Swan Street leads to two large steel gates that open into the main room. In the front foyer to the right is the reception and ticket sales. To the left is an enclosed area all set up to create an artists' Green Room, podcasts and be an office. The bar is at one end of the venue with the stage the other, noting that the stage and the bar can move just about anywhere as the bars with fridges are all on wheels and stages can be carried. As you head out though the rear acoustic door there is another function room or lounge with its own bar also mobile on wheels. To the rear are the fully accessible toilets and also a door that leads out to the courtyard and BBQ area.
POME has a General Liquor Licence till 1am on premises and 11 pm off premises with a good capacity of 164 inside and another 49 in the courtyard. Rent is only $1050 a week including GST. The lease has eight years remaining made up of 2+3+3 with extra terms available upon negotiation. No expense has been spared with the fit out and equipment on site. The fixture and fitting list says it all. Everything on site is owned with no supplier or equipment contracts in place.
The venue is stunning and suits an owner operator or group of musicians that want to take on their own music space that they can not only play in but also record and show a wide variety of arts. Any creative individual will love this space as it accommodates just about every entertainment possibility. The vendor has another business which is going very well and cannot do both hence the sale. A considerable amount has been spent on the venue from a complete rebuild of the site to the AV and sound installation. However, the vendor is only asking for offers in the region of $95,000 (Price Reduction) for the venue and everything inside and the low price being because there are no consistent financials. It is walk in walk out for this live music venue and vendors terms of an upfront payment and then the remainder of the purchase price paid over a set period will be considered.
